ESSENTIAL MEXICO WITH TAXCO, CHRISTMAS EVE

Upon the arrival of your flight into Mexico City's “Benito Juarez” international airport you will be met and transferred to your Mexico City hotel for overnight lodging. Lodging. 

Breakfast. We will leave Mexico City for Puebla, a World Heritage City declared by UNESCO, visiting its imposing Cathedral in its main square and the Chapel of the Rosary, considered the eighth wonder of the art world. At the end, we will start the magic in a small place that looks like a beautiful European-style villa in Mexico: Val' Quirico, inspired by Italian Tuscany where you can walk among its illuminated alleys, you will have the opportunity to witness Christmas carols and have a magical night. There are also several entertainment options such as a Venetian carousel, restaurants, boutiques, art shops, cafes and the "Elves of the People" Show, which takes place in 3 different locations so that you have the opportunity to see it at any time (Plazuela de los Haces, Plazuela de los Blanca, Zócalo). The whole town will be full of Christmas decorations and lighting. This is Christmas in Val' Quirico, the time of year where happiness and good times come together to make it unforgettable. In the evening I return to Mexico City. Accommodation.

Breakfast. In the morning, we will start the city tour by visiting the historic center, the cultural heritage of humanity, the National Palace (panoramic), the Plaza de la Constitution or Zocalo, the Templo Mayor Azteca, and the Metropolitan Cathedral, as well as its main avenues. Later we will visit the Chapultepec Forest and one of the most famous residential areas of Mexico City, as well as the Zona Rosa. Arrival at the hotel and rest of the day free. Lodging. 

At 07:00hrs. We will leave from our meeting point towards our destination; Arrival to Piedra Herrada to visit the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary, which each year travels 5,000 kilometers from Canada to spend the winter in Mexico.

To get to the sanctuary we will take a walk through the forest and they will explain to us what the butterflies feed on, how they reproduce, their life span, etc. Next, we will head to the Velo de Novia Waterfall which is an impressive waterfall fed by the San Juan stream. It receives this name because the forms that take its descent give the appearance of a huge white “Velo de Novia” (Bridal Veil).

Then we will visit the Magical Town of Valle de Bravo where we will be able to observe its main tourist attraction, the lake of Valle de Bravo in which nowadays, you can practice water sports and enjoy incredible boat or yacht rides. Free time to enjoy the place, as well as to shop for handicrafts.

Return to Mexico City at 9:00 p.m. approximately. Arrival at the Monument to the Revolution.

Breakfast. Panoramic tour admiring the World Trade Center, the Siqueiros Cultural Poly Forum, the Mexico Bullring, the Insurgentes Theater, the Olympic Stadium, the University City, and the lava gardens of Pedregal de San Angel: then we will visit Xochimilco, a World Heritage Site, where we will ride on an Aztec boat; we will also visit the wonderful neighborhood of Coyoacan, its 16th century mansions and the church of San Juan Bautista with its impressive paintings. Return to your hotel. Accomodation.

Breakfast

At the beginning of the morning, we will leave Mexico City for Cuernavaca (the city of eternal spring), to take the city tour and later, departure to the town of Cacahuamilpa, where we will enter the famous Cacahuamilpa Caves, considered the second largest in the world. Inside the grotto there are tunnels with a length of up to 10 km. Its natural formations form faces, faces, and figures, such as those seen in the halls of the goat, the throne, the fountain, the palms, and the cathedral. Upon leaving the caves, we will continue to a silver workshop where we will learn how some silver crafts are made and how to distinguish silver from two other metals. We will continue to Taxco for a city tour, including visits to several silver shops, the Temple of Santa Prisca, and the Silver Museum. The remainder of the afternoon is free for shopping.

Breakfast. At the appropriate time, you will be transferred to the Mexico City airport in time to board your return flight home. End of our services.
