Day 01: Welcome to Lima, City of Kings and Larco Museum of Cultures


Arrival in Lima, welcome and assistance in your transfer to the hotel. An exclusive and intense tour of the Historic Center of Lima will take us to see and admire the architectural relics that are part of this ancient Lima, which has been recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage Site. The Convent of Santo Domingo is the beginning of this magnificent experience. Built during the founding of Lima, the Universidad Mayor de San Marcos, the oldest in America, was founded in this building. Inside, the choir with the oldest stalls in the country and the library, with 25,000 books, some printed in the 15th century, have invaluable historical value. The remains of San Martín de Porres, San Juan Masías and Santa Rosa de Lima lie inside. Crossing the Plaza Mayor, the Government and Municipal Palace, we will enter the Cathedral, a jewel of Lima's history, with works of art that will bring us closer to colonial Lima. We will leave the Center and head to the Larco Museum, where we will have a clear vision of the Cultures that populated Ancient Peru. We will be surprised by the pieces of Gold, textiles and erotic ceramics that are part of the collection that will introduce us to the worldview of the ancient Peruvian. The warehouse of this Museum will be open during our visit to appreciate the expressions of art that were captured in their ceramics.


Day 02: Cusco, Capital of the Empire and Sacsayhuaman Archaeological Park


Transfer to the airport. Departure to Cusco. Arrival, assistance and transfer to the hotel. We will ascend to the Sacsayhuaman Archaeological Park, and begin the excursion by visiting the fortress of the same name, a beautiful place that radiates peace and tranquility, we will admire the enormous rocks up to 4 meters high, which were used in its construction. We will continue with Q'enqo, an ancient temple of the Puma where you can see an altar for sacrifices inside a huge rock and then with Tambomachay, sacred sources of life and health. On the way, we will have a panoramic view of Puca Pucará, a watchtower that guarded the entrance to the city. Afterwards, we will go to the Qorikancha Temple of the Sun, on which the Convent of Santo Domingo was built. Legend has it that this temple was completely covered with sheets of gold, which amazed the conquerors upon their arrival. To finish, we will visit the Plaza de Armas and enter the Cathedral, which treasures priceless colonial works and paintings, such as the Cross that arrived with the first conquerors.


Day 03: Inca Town of Chinchero, Terraces of Moray and Inca Town of Ollantaytambo


This day we will visit the most outstanding sites of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will leave for the town of Chinchero, the most typical and picturesque of the Sacred Valley. This town is famous for its women weavers. Brief stop at a textile center to appreciate the ancient Inca techniques for dyeing and spinning Alpaca wool. We will visit the Inca plaza with its beautiful colonial church. We will continue to Moray, a beautiful Inca archaeological site composed of concentric agricultural terraces that served as a laboratory to recreate microclimates. Lunch. We will continue to visit the last living town of the Incas, Ollantaytambo. We will visit the Temple of the Ten Windows, the ñusta baths, and the Temple of the Sun. The postcards from the heights of Ollantaytambo will close this magical day in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Accommodation in the area.


Day 04: Machu Picchu, Lost Citadel


The expected day to visit one of the 7 Wonders of the World. Boarding at the Ollantaytambo station. Departure by selected train. Arrival at the Machu Picchu station. Assistance from our staff to board the bus that will ascend a winding road, with a spectacular view of the Urubamba River and forms a deep canyon. The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, will welcome us with its incredible terraces, staircases, ceremonial enclosures and urban areas. Energy emanates from the entire place. Lunch. Day 05: Route to the Andean Plateau


We will depart on a tourist bus to the city of Puno, a scenic route accompanied by the Vilcanota River and then enter the Collao plateau, the Andean plateau. Our first stop will be at the Church of San Pedro Apóstol in Andahuaylillas, known as the “Sistine Chapel of America.” The walls and ceilings are filled with mural paintings from the 17th century. We will continue to Racchi, Temple of the God Wiracocha, where the remains of the columns and walls stand out, giving us an idea of ​​the monumental size of this construction in Inca times. Our journey will reach the highest point in La Raya at 4,800 m.a.s.l., where the waters of the Titicaca basin and the rivers that flow to the Amazon divide. Lunch. Visit to the Pucará Site Museum. This town is the birthplace of the famous Pucará bulls. We will arrive in Puno and transfer to the hotel.


Day 06: Crossing Lake Titicaca to Bolivia


This day we will sail across the highest navigable lake in the world, Titicaca. We will leave very early by land to the city of Copacabana. Visit to the Sanctuary of the Virgin Morena. Boarding a catamaran to make the crossing of the sacred lake. We will visit the legendary Sun Island. We will visit the Inca garden and the stairs that will lead us to the famous Inca fountain. Then, we will enter the Inti Wata complex where we will observe some of the archaeological remains found on the island. Navigation experience on a totora boat from where we will enjoy a beautiful view of the Pilkokaina palace. We will have lunch on board the catamaran with an impressive view of the lake. We will continue towards the port of Chua. Arrival and transfer to La Paz.


Day 07: La Paz, City of Contrasts


In the morning, we will begin our tour of the city having an authentic view of the local culture in the typical witch doctors' market. We will pass in front of the colonial church of San Francisco. We continue towards Plaza Murillo, where we will find the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Government Palace and Parliament. Then, we will walk along the famous Jaén Street, where the most important museums in La Paz are located. Our visit will continue through the residential areas of Obrajes, Calacoto and Florida to end in the spectacular Valley of the Moon, a nearby geological formation that has always attracted the interest of visitors to this city. Free afternoon. Accommodation.


Day 08: Farewell


Transfer to the airport. Departure to Lima to connect with your return flight home.
